He retired in 1982. Served as chief CRNA at Rogers Memorial Hospital and was president of Professional Anesthesia Associates. Buried at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Sprinfield, MO.

D. Jan 17, 2013. Dan was 33 years old. He was fortunate to practice with and train under his father Mark Burghart, CRNA. Dan was tragically killed in an MVA having been a CRNA less than 5 years. Already an asset to the profession.
